IP Information Lookup

textClient-side utility

Developers, network administrators, and security analysts may need to inspect public IP addresses when troubleshooting connections, reviewing logs, or investigating how a network is classified. This IP information lookup tool sends an IPv4 or IPv6 address to a third-party IP intelligence service and displays the returned network and approximate geolocation data. Results may include country, region, city, timezone, ISP, organization, and Autonomous System information. Leave the field empty to look up the public-facing IP address used for the request. IP geolocation is approximate and should not be treated as proof of a user's identity or physical location.

🌐 IP Information Lookup — Geolocation, ISP & More

Look up any IP address (or your own) and see geolocation, ISP, timezone, and more. Powered by ipwho.is (free, no key). Your IP is sent directly to their API — we never see it.

📖How to Use This Tool

What Is an IP Info Lookup?

An IP information lookup tool sends a public IP address to an IP intelligence service and displays the returned network and geolocation data. This tool queries the third-party ipwho.is API; it does not consult multiple network registries or real-time routing tables directly. Results are database-derived estimates: network fields such as ISP, organization, and ASN come from allocation records, while city, region, and coordinates are approximate geolocation estimates whose accuracy varies with network type, VPN or proxy use, and mobile carrier infrastructure.

The public address visible to the service may belong to a household router, mobile carrier gateway, corporate network, proxy, VPN, or hosting provider rather than directly to an individual device. The organization field describes the network operator or address holder — it does not identify the person using the connection. IP geolocation cannot determine a specific household, person, building, or street address.

How to use it

  1. Enter an IPv4 or IPv6 address, or leave the field empty to look up the public-facing IP address used for the request.
  2. Click "Lookup". The address is sent to the third-party ipwho.is service.
  3. Review the returned network and approximate geolocation fields. Private, loopback, and link-local addresses cannot be mapped to a public location.
  4. If a rate-limit error appears, wait before retrying — the public API applies usage limits that may be shared across the site's domain.

Why use this over alternatives

This tool provides a simple interface for querying basic IP geolocation and network metadata without requiring a local command-line utility. It sends the requested address directly to the third-party ipwho.is API and displays the returned fields in an organized format. No account or user-supplied API key is required for the supported public endpoint.

Meta Tags Generator — Open Graph & Twitter Card

Optimizing web pages for search engines and social platforms requires configuring proper HTML meta tags in your document head. When articles, landing pages, or blog posts lack standardized Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, and X generate incomplete link previews with missing headlines, blank descriptions, or distorted thumbnail images. Writing these duplicate tags manually for every page is tedious, and a minor syntax mistake can degrade social engagement and search visibility. This meta tags generator streamlines the process by creating search engine optimization, Open Graph, and Twitter Card tags right inside your browser. Simply input your page title, URL, description, and social share image to generate ready-to-use HTML markup.

Readability Score — Flesch Reading Ease Checker

Content writers, marketers, educators, and technical authors often struggle to gauge whether their prose matches their target audience's comprehension level. Writing that includes overly lengthy sentences, dense clauses, and polysyllabic vocabulary can alienate general readers, reduce conversion rates on landing pages, and lead to misunderstandings in user documentation. Manually counting syllables and sentence structures to evaluate clarity is impractical during drafting. This readability analyzer calculates the Flesch Reading Ease score of your text directly inside your browser. By examining word counts, sentence lengths, and syllable density, it produces a clear reading ease score alongside an estimated education level ranging from elementary school grades through college and graduate comprehension.

Color Picker — Hex, RGB, HSL Converter

Translating a color choice between design software and web stylesheets frequently causes unnecessary friction. Graphic artists often work with visual color swatches or HSL adjustments, while web developers routinely require six-digit hexadecimal codes or RGB integer triples for CSS rules. Manually converting between these color representations requires tedious math or launching heavy graphic design suites. This live color picker simplifies the process by synchronizing color adjustments across models as you work. Select a shade visually or input an existing code, and view matching HEX, RGB, and HSL representations ready to paste into your design system.

❓Frequently Asked Questions

Q.Does this tool make external network requests?

Yes. The IP address you look up is sent to the third-party ipwho.is service so it can return network and geolocation information. If you leave the field empty, the service identifies the public-facing IP address from which the request is made. The returned location is an estimate based on the provider's database and may not represent the device user's actual physical location. Do not submit an address if your organization prohibits sharing it with external intelligence services.

Q.How accurate is the location shown?

IP geolocation estimates a broad geographic area and cannot determine a specific household, person, building, or street address. City and coordinate results may represent an approximate network location rather than the user's physical position. VPNs, proxies, corporate gateways, mobile networks, and shared ISP infrastructure can further reduce accuracy.

Q.Why did the lookup return a rate-limit error?

The tool relies on a third-party public API that applies usage limits. Browser-based requests may share a quota across the website's domain. If the provider returns an HTTP 429 response, the tool cannot complete additional lookups until the provider permits further requests.

Q.Can the tool locate private or local IP addresses?

Private, loopback, link-local, and other non-public addresses are not globally routed and generally cannot be mapped to a public geographic location through an external IP intelligence database. Use local network tools to investigate those addresses.
