What is a Favicon Generator?
A favicon (favorites icon) is a small branded graphic displayed in browser tabs, bookmark bars, history menus, and desktop shortcuts. While legacy browsers relied on multi-icon .ico format containers, modern web standards recommend standard square PNG icons declared via HTML <link rel="icon"> tags with explicit pixel dimensions (16×16, 32×32, 48×48, and 64×64).
This generator reads your source logo into memory and renders it across multiple offscreen canvas contexts using high-quality downsampling interpolation. It generates pixel-aligned raster buffers for each target resolution and exports them as standalone PNG graphics.

Why use this over alternatives
Many online icon converters send your proprietary brand logos to remote cloud servers for conversion. This tool generates your favicons entirely within your local browser sandbox. Your files never leave your device, ensuring unreleased brand marks, client graphics, and application logos remain strictly private.
